Sustainability
Sustainability has been the subject of our projects lately. We will not dwell on the relevance of the theme, which has already been well known, but only to understand that the construction activity, which has a great impact on the natural environment, starts to treat aspects of sustainability as Principles of design and no longer as annexes to the project, that is, the studies already have since its conception sustainable concepts. With CEF (Caixa Econômica Federal) as the funder of most of our projects, the vision of the Blue Seal of this entity was expanded and, in partnership with Hausbau, we sought the "Aqua" (High Environmental Quality) certification. It should be emphasized that future users have as main benefit of this process a care with environmental education, besides the decrease of condominium expenses, better conditions of comfort and health. The development of this partnership supported the beginning of research on the impact of sustainable project practices on housing developments. While we may consider the developer's commercial appeal for certification to be real, research in development seeks to ascertain what the benefit of certification is in generating future resident satisfaction.
The image below illustrates an undertaking in certification, this project was started with some questions that aimed at sustainable construction, but not yet aimed at certification, namely:
1. Photovoltaic cell panels;
2. Reuse of rainwater;
3. The use of green roofs on the ground buildings within the condominium;
4. The location of parking areas that are vertically concentrated;
5. Rationalization project for Masonry Fencing.
The popular housing determines a rigid price control and these costs are extra, the proposed certification was made possible by the number of housing units of the set 516 housing units.

What has changed in the popular housing architecture project?
It is important to mention that the architectural design must meet all comfort items, whether or not cited in the technical standards, but do not have the need nor the habit of presenting or demonstrating each one of them, with the advent of certification this becomes necessary, Such as the path of waste, Solid waste management is focused more responsibly. Acoustic testing is another example, as is dimensional evaluation.
